Jacks story by:-

Charlotte - Spalding High School.

At school, it stays pretty much the same for him.  Now the other kids realise he is a bit of a whiz kid at computers, they all ask him for help and want him to do their work.  But Jack puts up with it all and becomes even greater friends with the caretaker.  A new girl comes into school and jack really likes her.  They get to know each other really well.  She didn't see jack for his appearance, but for his thoughts and feelings inside.  Soon they started dating.  Later on in life he dieted and was a slim man.  He was on the television and he made a career of this.  All of his 'mates' from school soon realised who this man was on the telly.  They regretted that they were so mean to this boy and they wanted to be friends with him again.  But they couldn't bring themselves round to admit they were wrong.  But in the end Jack was very happy.

"I visited the van on Friday and it really helped me as I have just started to really believe in God and put my trust in him.  I thought the van was a brilliant idea.  It was a real change from sitting in the class room last thing on a Friday.  I just wanted to say thank you.  You have helped me to continue with my belief."

Katie, Year 9, Bryntirion Comprehensive School.

“The trailer has reminded me why I went into teaching RE.  It has re-invigorated me”.

Quote from the Head of Department - South Wales

"I am just writing to say how much I enjoyed the lesson I had in the GSUS LIVE trailer. I have had a great time and wish it would come more often. I know that the rest of my class enjoyed it too."

Year 8 Student - Chester-Le-Street

"The whole concept is fantastic and if other programmes were developed to fit other parts of the RE Curriculum you could stay in a school for a fortnight."

Schools Worker - Torquay

"From the Department's point of view it was an exciting opportunity to deliver Christian teachings in a different way. As well as being entertaining for the students, it was educationally beneficial and challenged them to think for themselves on a range of key issues."

Head of RE - Torquay

"I learnt that being rejected, or feeling fear, or even wanting forgiveness is a very important thing to me."

Year 8 Student - Torquay

"Virtually everyone who visited us was bowled over by the sheer impact and scale of the exhibition. Teachers and students greeted the way that the message was delivered in such a non-confrontational way as a great educational success."

Schools Worker - Cardiff
