Maybe Jesus would’ve responded like this: It’s what’s on the inside of a person that really matters.
“It’s amazing, no-one teased me today! A new girl at school was working on the computer and didn’t know what to do. I showed her, but I didn’t know that everyone else in the class was stuck as well. ‘Fat Jack’ – not anymore…”
How would you respond? Please choose one of the options below
- Option 1 – Now it’s pay-back time – make your ‘mates’ apologise.
- Option 2 – It’s not all over. Make sure you stay in touch.
- Option 3 – Make sure you never treat others like you’ve been treated.
- Option 4 – Never help your ‘mates’ again.
- Option 5 – You’ve done well so far; keep it up
The Bible says...
'Jesus felt great pity for the crowds that came. Because their problems were so great and they did not know where to go for help. They were like sheep without a shepherd.' - Matthew 9:36
To those who feel that they are on the outside, Jesus said,
'Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens,
and I will give you rest.' - Matthew 11:28
What happended next...
Things got worse for Jack, and he struggled to find anyone to talk to who would understand. Eventually he spoke to the school caretaker, who encouraged him to think of what he was good at – working with computers.
